Mary Sudie Tisdale, 82, of the 1600 block of Ohio St., died Sept. 19, 1996, at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
She was the widow of Thomas E. Tisdale Sr. A retired self-employed grocery store owner, Mrs. Tisdale was a native of Camden County, N.C. She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Melvin Tisdale and Charles Ray Tisdale.
Survivors include a daughter, Earlene T. Foxof Chesapeake; a son, Thomas E. Tisdale Jr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Bertha Eastwood of Norfolk; brothers, Edward Morgan and Joe Morgan, both of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in the Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Keith Lewis. Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
