Hazel Brown, of the 2800 block of Seaboard Road, died Sept. 18, 1996.
Born in Princess Anne County, she was the widow of Johnnie A. Brown. Also she was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach, where she served in the senior choir.
Survivors include a daughter, Roberta Rhodes of New York; a sister, Dorothy Johnson of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Ray Lawrence of Virginia Beach and Robert Young of Norfolk; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Garland Lamb of New York; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Asbury United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. John Haynes. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, is handling arrangements.
