I strongly disagree with your support of homosexual marriages in your editorial of Sept. 12. Your philosophy of ``anything goes'' in the name of showing tolerance does not serve this country well.
Sen. Robb is wrong when he says, ``You don't have to be an advocate of same-sex marriages to vote against it.'' When you allow something to happen and make no effort to stop it, you are advocating it.
Opposition to the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) represents the human spirit's rebellion against God's design for marriage. The abandoment of family norms over the last 30 years has had profound consequences, shaking our society to its roots. Proposals to allow same-sex marriages strike at these roots directly.
