Ruth Virginia Reames, 98, formerly of St. Brides, Chesapeake, died Sept. 21, 1996, in Virginia Beach.
A Norfolk County native, Mrs. Reames was a member of Welcome Indian Creek Baptist Church, Chesapeake. She was the widow of Early Reames.
Survivors include her friends, John and Laura Crafton of Chesapeake, Keith and Sharon Braziel of Chesapeake and H.I. Donati of Richmond.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, by the Rev. David Crawford. Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, Chesapeake, is in charge.
