H.E. ``EDDIE'' FRIZZELL

H.E. ``Eddie'' Frizzell, 77, of the 5700 block of Aura Drive, died Sept. 20, 1996, from complications due to prostate cancer.

Mr. Frizzell was born in Norfolk and spent most of his life in Virginia Beach. He was a member of Scott Memorial United Methodist Church in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Frizzell had owned Oceana Feed and Hardware Company for 43 years, and was a registrar for the City of Virginia Beach for 31 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a Scout master for Troop 62 for 25 years, and a member of Troop 62 for 47 years. He earned The Silver Beaver Award in 1955. He was a life member of the Oceana Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department and a past member of the Oceana Civic League and Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Pearl Miller Frizzell; a son, Joe Frizzell of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Margie Parrish and her husband, Dennis Parrish of Virginia Beach; and six grandchildren.

A chapel service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Monday, Sept. 23, 1996, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, by the Rev. Manning Harrell. Interment will follow at Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral apartments. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Creed's Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, P.O.
