Viola P. Howell, of 4600 of West Norfolk Road, died Sept. 17, 1996, in Beverly Manor of Portsmouth.
Born in Spring Hill, N.C., she was the widow of Lee A. Howell. She was member of Abundant Life Christian Church, Norfolk, and the Mother's Board.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay F. Spain of Norfolk and Joann L. Sears of Portsmouth; two sons, Elijah Daughtry of Norfolk and Milton Daughtry of Baltimore, Md.; three sisters, Maggie Williams and Ollian Hazel, both of Norfolk and Cornelia Lewis of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Jonathan Davis of Newark, N.J. and Obern Davis of Scotland Neck, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; two daughters-in-law; a son-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday by Pastor Donnie Small in Abundant Life Christian Church, 228 W. Berkley Ave., Norfolk. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Viewing will be at Corprew Funeral Home at noon today. The body will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Monday.
