George Thomas Holley Jr., 77, of the 2300 block of Grandy Ave., died Sept. 18, 1996.
He was a Maritime merchant seaman and retired after 43 years of service.
Survivors include his daughter, Bernice Bradford of Norfolk; a son, George T. Holley of Virginia Beach; a sister, Vernice Smith of Columbia, Md. and Greta Harris of Oxon Hill, Md.; a brother, Richard A. Holley of Chesapeake; a grandchild, Tracie Holley Norman of Norfolk; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Holley, Brittnie Norman, both of Norfolk; a sister-in-law, Rose Marie Holley of Chesapeake and a host of relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Johnnie White in First Calvary Baptist Church, Wide St., Norfolk. Pretlow and Sons' Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is in charge.
