I read your Sept. 12 editorial, ``Gun traffickers beware,'' and thought I was reading a tract from the fanatics at Handgun Control Inc.
If the Virginia handgun purchase limit works, as the subtitle avers, how did 17 men, all from the same school band, get away with ferrying so many handguns to Washington, D.C.? It obviously didn't stop them.
It didn't prevent the crimes that were committed. All it did was create an after-the-fact trial.
Get real and address the real causes of crime and real solutions, not political pie in the sky!
