David Wayne Kahle, 47, died Monday, Sept. 23, 1996.
Born in Newport News, he attended Newport News High School and Wake Forrest University. He was an employee of Newport News Shipbuilding. Mr. Kahle was preceded in death by his parents, George Adolphus and Francis Brown Kahle.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Gibson Kahle; five children, Jack W. Kahle of Newport News, Daryl J. Kahle, and his wife, Dianne Kahle of Norfolk, Michelle L. Kahle, and her husband, David Rodrigo of Williamsburg, Denise Kenney, and her husband, Dennis Kenney of Williamsburg; his sister, Frances M. Moppett of Mystic, Conn.; two brothers, George A. Kahle of Vero Beach, Fla., and Douglas E. Kahle of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
