Louise Geneva Spruill, of the 4300 block of Anderson Ave., died Sept. 24, 1996, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
Born in Portsmouth, she was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses and a Regular Pioneer Minister.
She is survived by her husband, Albert L. Spruill; two daughters, Kendall Gross of Suffolk and Denise N. Outland of Chesapeake; three sons, William Walker of Florida, Johnnie Walker of Portsmouth and Corey Spruill of Suffolk; two sisters, Norma Jean Lewis of New York City and Charlene Lee of Portsmouth; a brother, Ernest R. Simmons Jr. of Philadelphia; seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses, 4050 Elliott Ave., Portsmouth, by Brother James Tynes. The body was cremated. Family and friends will assemble at Kingdom Hall at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is in charge.
