Paul Franklin Fereday, 63, of the 200 block of Green Kemp Road, died Sept. 24, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Fereday was born in Coaldale, Pa., and was the widower of Ruth Doris Kriebel Fereday. He retired in 1973 from the U.S. Navy as a PHCS photographer after 27 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. Following his retirement from the Navy, he worked for the Birtchard Dairy as a shipping supervisor from 1975 until 1990. He was a member of Carrow Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.
He is survived by a son, David P. Fereday of Virginia Beach; a sister, Ruth Kepple of Manchester, N.H.; a granddaughter, Analayne Ruth Fereday of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, Virginia Beach. Burial with military honors will be on Friday at 12:30 p.m. in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carrow Baptist Church, 5545 Susquehanna Drive, Virginia Beach, Va. 23462.
