There once was a time when the press was called the fourth estate. I believe it was called this mainly because of its independence, integrity and intestinal fortitude.
Based on what we are seeing today, the fourth estate has become a thing of the past, just like moral character has. A Republican president once said that ``you can fool some of the people all of the time.''
Today's U.S. press certainly bears that out as being some of the people fooled all of the time by the present occupant of the White House.
