Dobie J. Wright, 87, of Tucker House, 7700 block of Armfield Ave., died Sept. 24, 1996, in Mary-view Hospital, Portsmouth.
Born in Windsor, Va., she was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church (Titustown), Norfolk.
Survivors include two sons, Jude T. Wright of Sacramento, Calif., George L. Wright of Columbia, Md.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three nieces, including Mildred B. McGriff, with whom she resided at her death; two nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 934 W. Little Creek Road, Norfolk, by the Rev. William L. Davis. Burial will be in Chapel Grove U.C.C. Church Cemetery, Windsor. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday. The family will be at the home of Mildred B. McGriff, 4021 Sunkist Road, Chesapeake, and will assemble there for the procession to the church. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
