Marvin Eugene ``Red'' Beatty, 63, died Sept. 24, 1996.
He is survived by a daughter, Anginette ``Susie'' Weese of Fredricksburg; a son, William Earl Beatty of Gasburg, Va.; three sisters, Evelyn B. Ford and Shirley B. Connell, both of Boykins, Betty B. Moore of Newton Grove, N.C.; and beloved friends, Mr. and Mrs. James H. Ellis of Emporia.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the Echols Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Skippers. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be given to the Zion Baptist Church or the Emporia-Greensville Rescue Squad.
