FRED WISSEMAN

Fred Wisseman, 67, of 800 block of N. George Washington Hwy., died Tuesday Sept. 24, 1996, in a Chesapeake hospital.

Born in Greenwood, Del., Mr. Wisseman was a member of Bible World Church, Happy Acres Road, Chesapeake. He was a retired member of Teamsters Local 822 of Norfolk, a member of VFW, Tidewater Post, Teamsters Retiree Chapter and the Redman Lodge, Milford, Del. He was also an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Edith L. Wisseman; two sons, Wayne Wisseman of Chesapeake, Mark Wisseman of Lawton, Okla.; four sisters, Alice McIlvaine, Norma Willey, both of Greenwood, Blanche Watts of Millsboro, Del., Joyce DeLauri of Austin, Texas; two brothers, William Wisseman of Seaford, Del., Ronald Wisseman of Milford; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; eight step-grandchildren; and a step great-grandchild.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fleishauer Funeral Chapel, Greenwood. Burial will be in St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, in Bible World Church, Happy Acres Road, Chesapeake. Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Hwy., is in charge locally.
