These are just a few of the stories that high school correspondents for The Virginian-Pilot will tackle this school year. More than 70 students were selected to write for the newspaper. These young reporters are charged with covering teen-age life in South Hampton Roads. They pick their topics. They write their stories. They let readers know what's happening.
``I'm very excited about this year's crew,'' said Teenology editor Denise M. Watson. ``I'm getting daily calls from students who are enthusiastic about writing stories and talking about what's going on in their schools and in their lives. They see their role - and importance - as teen correspondents.''
