Shirley Louise Meriwether Hasty, 68, formerly of the 2600 block of Meadows Landing in Chesapeake, died Sept. 25, 1996, in a hospital.
Mrs. Hasty, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, was the widow of Thurman A. Hasty. She was retired from the U.S. Civil Service as a claims clerk.
Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Louise Hasty of Chesapeake, Cynthia Hasty Aydlette of Edenton, N.C.; two sons, Brian A. Hasty of Buckingham, Va., Kenneth W. Hasty of Portsmouth; a sister, Barbara M. Grooms of Gibson, N.C.; and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Greenlawn Mausoleum Chapel, Chesapeake, by Brother John Wells. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
