Peggy McClellan Blaylock, 58, of the 2500 block of Woodshire Circle died Sept. 27, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Born in Hicksville, Ohio, she retired in 1996 as an assistant manager of 7-11 Stores after 23 years of service. She attended West Park Church of Christ and was a 1956 graduate of Cradock High School.
Survivors include her husband, Lloyd G. Blaylock; a daughter, Frances Martin of Portsmouth; two sons, Willis Martin of Suffolk, Danny Martin of Norfolk; a sister, Patricia Warren of Suffolk; two brothers, Donald McClellan of St. Helen, Mich., Jim McClellan of Lapeer, Mich.; nine grandchildren, Amanda Prescott Martin, Shannon Martin, Lloyd G. Blaylock III, Johnny Blaylock, Jennifer Blaylock, Teresa Nash, Chuck Nash, Mike Tapler Jr., Chris Tapler; three great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters, Patricia Garrett of Chesapeake, Billie Jean Tapler of Welcome, Mich.; and a stepson, Lloyd G. Blaylock Jr. of Chocowinnie, N.C.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, by the Rev. Keith Lewis. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and also after the service Monday at 116 Shea St., Portsmouth. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
