STANLEY SUCKIEL

Stanley Suckiel, 78, died Sept. 27, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.

Born in Newark, N.J., he was the widower of Marie J. Suckiel. He retired as supervisor of general maintenance from Colgate-Palmolive Co., Jersey City, N.J., after 45 years of service. He was a member of Rock Church, Virginia Beach, and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Survivors include a son, William G. Suckiel and his wife, Valerie M. Suckiel, of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mary Barblinardo of Lakewood, N.J.; and a grandson, Sadell B. Suckiel of Virginia Beach.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville, N.J. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Mental Retardation/Mental Health Services, city of Virginia Beach.
