Nile Glendora ``Glen'' Washburn, 62, of the 5100 block of Fallsmead Downs, died Sept. 26, 1996.
Born in High Point, N.C., she was retired from Naval Surface Warfare Service Port Hueneme, Cal. Detachment, Virginia Beach. She was a 1952 graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School.
Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Washburn; two sons, William Ralph Washburn and his wife, JoJo Beth Washburn, of Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, N.C., Robert Blake Washburn and his wife, Darlene Washburn, of Virginia Beach; a brother, Ralph Adams Clary Jr. and his wife, Hazel Clary, of Greensboro, N.C.; and eight grandchildren, Kimberly Ann, Kelly Marie, both of Chester, Va., Michelle, Jovines, Beverlyn, Vanessa, Franklin, Steven, all of Midway Park, N.C. She was preceded in death by her son, Carl Leland Washburn.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by Fr. James E. Parke. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
