Nora B. Finley, 78, died Sept. 27, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Pikeville, Ky., Mrs. Finley worked as a Kentucky social worker, honorably served in the U.S. Navy and worked for the Girl Scouts of Tidewater. She faithfully attended First View Baptist Church, Norfolk.
Mrs. Finley was the widow of Jack Finley. She is survived by a sister, Mildred Elswick of Pikeville; a daughter, Caroline F. Wishmeyer of Newport News; two sons, Robert J. Finley and Harry M. Finley, both of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tidewater Chapter of American Cancer Society. Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
