Curtis Norman Floodine, of the 1400 block of Gannet Run, died Sept. 25, 1996.
Mr. Floodine is survived by his parents, Robert and Ardis Floodine of Montana; his brother, Bobby, and his wife, Tamara Floodine, of Connecticut; his sister, Tina and her husband, Rick Williams, of Mobile, Ala.; his grandfather, Norman Sunvold of Montana; three nieces, Amy and Erica Floodine of Connecticut, and Shane Williams of Mobile; two nephews, Rick and Ruhl Williams of Mobile; close friends, Chris Holian, John Mallisson, Karen Raneri, Joe Black and many more.
Mr. Floodine was employed as a diver for Crofton Marine. He was a member of the Virginia Beach Rugby Club and the Fort Eustis Hashers Club. Mr. Floodine was an avid athlete who loved playing rugby, running and baseball; lived every day to its fullest, able to find fun and bring laughter to all. No one will ever forget the spirit in his soul nor the gleam of hope in his eyes.
There will be a rugby game played in Mr. Floodine's memory today at 1 p.m. at Virginia Beach Middle School, 24th St., Virginia Beach. The family will be receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Interment will be in Sebring, Fla., at a later date.
