Novella Boyd Copeland, 83, died Sept. 26, 1996.
A native of Grimesland, N.C., she was the widow of Gordon L. Copeland and a member of Alliance Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include a son, the Rev. Gordon Gerald Copeland of Charlotte, N.C.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Lloyd Powell. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at 10 a.m. Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
