A 28-year-old woman was shot to death Saturday, and her boyfriend was charged with murder, police said.
Verona Bullock, of the 1500 block of Corprew Ave., was pronounced dead at the scene when police arrived in the 3500 block of Seay Ave. about 6 p.m. They were responding to a report of gunshots in the Ingleside neighborhood.
Larry Hill, a police spokesman, said Bullock had been shot in the head.
Police have charged George Kelley, 54, who lives at the address where the shooting occurred, with murder and using a gun while committing a felony.
Kelley is scheduled to be arraigned Monday morning in General District Court.
