This past July, my wife and I had a most interesting trip visiting several parts of the Baltic Sea. We sailed from Helsinki in the late afternoon and arrived in St. Petersburg the next morning. It was cold and damp. On the dock, we were greeted by a six-member Russian band. To my amazement and delight, they struck up ``Dixie.'' What a treat! It turned a dismal day into a nice one in a few minutes.
I'll remember that moment for a long time.
