Dorothy Sailer Murphy, 82, died Sept. 29, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
A native of Bridgeport, Conn., she was a public schoolteacher.
Survivors include her husband, Marshall E. Murphy; a daughter, Deborah J. French of Suffolk; a son, Marshall B. Murphy and his wife, Debbie of Haddonfield, N.J.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Patrick and a brother, Frederick Sailer.
Services will be private. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
