Lena Langester of the 700 block of Luther St. died Sept. 27, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Langester was a housewife and Norfolk County native. She was a member of the Campostella Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church, Norfolk. She was the widow of Theodore Langester.
Survivors include her daughter, Rosa Satterfield of Chesapeake; a son, Harrison Keeling of Berkley, Calif.; sisters, Mary Moore, Rosa Smith, Sophia Alexander, Mamie Moyler and Beactrice Bell, all of Chesapeake; a brother, Enoch Etheridge of Chesapeake; and 37 grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Campostella Heights Seventh-day Adventist Church by the Rev. Colin Braithwaite. Burial will be in Etheridge Family Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Wednesday. The family will assemble at the residence at noon for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk, is in charge.
