Hazel Shaw Snyder, 80, of the 700 block of Berkshire Road died Sept. 29, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Snyder was the widow of Francis Snyder and Joseph A. Corbett Sr. She was a member of Courthouse Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn J. Smith of Virginia Beach; a son, Joseph A. Corbett Jr. of Grove, Okla.; a sister, Elva Reid of Suffolk; brothers, George Shaw of Ontario, Canada, Harry Shaw of Portsmouth and Howard Shaw of Milan, Ohio; four grandchildren, Leslie Smith Jr., Paul Smith, Glenn Smith and Shannon Smith, all of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, by the Rev. Leslie W. Smith Sr. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
