Martha Niebo Russell, 85, of the 2200 block of Starfish Road, died Sept, 29, 1996, in a local hospital.
A native of Jersey City, N.J., Mrs. Russell was a retired hotel owner and administrative assistant with the welfare office in Baltimore. She was the widow of Frank J. Russell, and a member of Star Of The Sea Catholic Church. Mrs. Russell and her husband had owned The Sleepy Hollow Hotel at the oceanfront from 1960 to 1985.
Survivors include a sister, Mae Lukaszewski of Union City, N.J.; three grandchildren, Michael F. Bucy of Kitty Hawk, N.C., Judith A. Wilson of Roanoke, Va., Geoffrey T. Bucy of North Hollywood, Calif.; and a great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Eastern Shore Episcopal Church Cemetery by the Rev. Robert Cummins. A visitation will be held today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Star Of The Sea Catholic Church.
