Fleet Week Hampton Roads `96 hits the region Oct. 8-13, bringing military pomp, parading ships, parachuting commandos, concerts and sporting events aimed at celebrating the Navy's role in the area.
A highlight will be the chance for more than 1,200 people to take a 10-hour voyage on one of five Navy ships, becoming ``Sailor for a Day.''
