Concerning the attack on ducks at Kings Grant (MetroNews, Sept. 24): I used to feed the ducks regularly there, but the sight of so many that had been injured or maimed broke my heart so badly I couldn't go back anymore.
Before the bulkhead was built, I saw people unleash their dogs into the water to chase the ducks - FUN! Or they would let their children torment the poor animals until the ones who were able would fly away.
A lot of people believe animal-rights advocates are ``fanatics.'' I say, if they are, this is why.
