MARY H. DOUGHTIE

Mary Harrell Doughtie, 79, of the 5200 block of Lake Circle Drive, died Oct. 1, 1996, after a long illness.

A native of Portsmouth, she was the widow of Robert F. Doughtie and a member of Churchland Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Barbara D. Horton of Portsmouth, Mac D. Houfek, Elsie D. Waddell, both of Virginia Beach; a sister, Eleanor Garner of Portsmouth; two brothers, Wilbur Harrell and Gordon Harrell, both of Portsmouth; six grandchildren, Kimberley P. Jones, Robert F. Horton, T. Bradley Horton, Ryan D. Houfek, Chad P. Houfek, R.J. Waddell; and a great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Olive Branch Cemetery by Dr. Clint Hopkins. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association.
