Beverly Ann Foster Willaford, 57, of the 6600 block of Fordwick Drive died Sept. 30, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
A native of Norfolk, she was a telephone operator for Sentara Health System for two years. She previously worked in the Portsmouth Circulation Department of The Virginian-Pilot and The Ledger-Star for 18 years.
Survivors include her husband, William Bateman Willaford; a stepdaughter, Martha W. King of Arvada, Colo.; two stepsons, William B. Willaford III of Ashland, Va., Timothy Earl Willaford of Ovid, Mich.; four brothers, Jackson S. Foster Jr., Thomas M. Foster, Richard S. Foster, all of Virginia Beach; Robert M. Foster of Oklahoma City, Okla.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. Ted Bashford. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home and also at 3344 Eagle Nest Point, Virginia Beach, after the service.
