Amado S. Garcia, 84, of the 1000 block of Goldleaf Court, died Sept. 30, 1996, in his residence.
A native of the Philippines, he was a retired bus dispatcher for Saulog Transit Inc. and a member of Rock Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Felicidad Garcia of the Philippines; four daughters, Alice G. Janolino and husband, Danny J., of Virginia Beach, Beth G. Hombrebueno and husband, Bert, Susan Manao and husband, Fred, Sonia Wee and husband Luis, all of the Philippines; three sons, Arthur Garcia and wife, Beth, of Chesapeake; Cito Garcia and wife, Nene, of Kodiak, Alaska, Reni Garcia and wife, Nitz of the Philippines; and 11 grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 7 p.m. today in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Betty Forbes. Burial will be in Love Memorial Park, Noveleta, Cavite, Philippines. The family will remain at the funeral home until 9 p.m. following the service today to receive friends.
