The North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) has endorsed 3rd District Democrat George Parrott in his congressional race against incumbent Republican Walter B. Jones Jr.
``We advocate safe and drug-free schools, for programs that help disadvantaged children come to school ready to learn, promote students' achievement and help teachers give their best in the classroom,'' NCAE President Cecil Banks said Monday. ``We endorse George Parrott because he endorses those same values and ideas.''
