Breaking and entering, 3800 block Pughsville Road, Sept. 24, someone entered a residence and removed a Pioneer stereo system valued at $1,500.
Breaking and entering, 8200 block Harlan Drive, Sept. 24, someone attempted to open the front door of a house by prying the lock.
Breaking and entering, 6200 block Heather Glen Drive, Sept. 24, someone entered a portable office by raising a roll-up trailer door. Once inside, the intruder forced open a locked door to the main office area and removed a white telephone from the desk.
Breaking and entering, 6100 block Brookwood Drive, Sept. 25, someone entered a residence by breaking open a window. The following were removed: currency, a Canon camera with a 50mm lens and one Sega Genesis video game.
DISTRICT B
Petty larceny, 4300 block Lake Prince Drive, Sept. 25, someone removed from a vehicle a Motorola cellular phone valued at $100.
Breaking and entering, 1900 block Nansemond Parkway, Sept. 25, someone entered a residence and removed a GE receiver.
DISTRICT C
Larceny, 100 block Gays Row, Sept. 21, someone removed a 9mm handgun and holster.
Breaking and entering, 200 block Smith St., Sept. 22, someone entered a residence by cutting the back screen door and breaking the glass. A Zenith VHS VCR valued at $150 was removed.
Breaking and entering, 800 block West Constance Road, Sept. 23, someone broke the front window of a business with a barbell weight. Food stamps and cash were removed from an unlocked desk drawer, and cash was removed from a cash drawer.
Breaking and entering, 700 block North Main St., Sept. 23, someone entered a car wash coin box and removed money.
Petty larceny, 100 block North Main St., Sept. 23, a black male, about 5-foot-9, weighing about 160 pounds and wearing black and white basketball shoes, a gray T-shirt and dark pants, ran out of a store with a Bulova, model 98POO woman's wrist watch. He ran across Main Street and toward Finney Avenue.
Petty larceny, 100 block St. James Ave., Sept. 23, the front license plate was either lost or stolen from a vehicle.
DISTRICT D
Breaking and entering, 100 block Woodrow Ave., Sept. 21, someone attempted to enter a residence by trying to pry open a window with a rake. The suspect fled with the rake.
Breaking and entering, 500 block Waterway Court, Sept. 24, a woman was advised by her handyman that the rear window of her residence had been broken out. A police officer discovered additional signs of forced entry, and a VCR and piano are reported missing.
DISTRICT E
Breaking and entering, 200 block Tree Lane, Sept. 21, someone returned home to discover the screen missing on a window. A door lock also had been pried off. Two packs of Marlboro cigarettes and cash were taken. by CNB
