Daphine Wells Williams, 54, of the 4900 block of Atterbury St., died Sept. 30, 1996, in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Wells was a native of Como, N.C., and a member of New Hope COGIC, Norfolk.
Survivors include her husband, Richard L. Williams Sr.; a daughter, Lynn Williams of Norfolk; a daughter-in-law, Estella Benson Williams of Norfolk; sons, Richard L. Williams Jr. of Washington, D.C., and Eric Joe Williams of Norfolk; a sister, Beverly Heckstall of Norfolk; brothers, William Wells of Chicago and Lloyd Wells Jr. of Virginia Beach; great-grandmother, Gertrude Purdy of Edenton, N.C.; grandchildren, David L. Cahoon Jr. and Ericka Danielle Williams.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Home Chapel, Norfolk. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Cemetery. A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
