Margaret Louise Porter Pope, 64, of the 1900 block of North St., died Sept. 30, 1996, at home.
Mrs. Pope, a native of Portsmouth, was a member of Cottage Place United Methodist Church and F.O.P. Gosport Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Arthur Wayne Pope of Fredericksburg, Va.; a daughter, Deborah Margaret Pope of Portsmouth; five grandchildren, Wayne, Shaun, George, Steven and Stephanie; four great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Lorie Jones of Suffolk.
A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in Cottage Place United Methodist Church by the Rev. James D. Thomas. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in Foster Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Military Order of the Purple Heart.
