ETHEL R. KLAGES

Ethel Richards Klages, of 1524 Wilkins Drive, died Oct. 2, 1996.

A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the daughter of the late Solomon D. Richards and Mattie Edwards Richards. She is the widow of Freddie William Klages. Mrs. Klages was retired from the Old Dominion Peanut Co. She was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church and the Wesley Bible Class.

Survivors include two sons, Ed Klages of Suffolk, David E. Klages of Cottonwood County, Calif.; a stepson, F.W. Klages Jr. of Suffolk; a stepdaughter, Dorothy K. Jones of Kenosha, Wis.; a sister, Katherine Hasty of Portsmouth; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Clyde D. Nuckols Sr. The family will receive friends at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the World Hunger Fund, c/o Virginia Annual Conference United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 11254, Richmond, Va. 23230.
