Elizabeth Wilson Peele, 77, of the 3400 block of Westminster Ave., died Thursday Oct. 3, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General.
She was a loving, caring and giving homemaker and was born in Perquimans County, N.C., on Jan. 8, 1919. She was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Ivey Wilson, and the wife of the late Kenny W. Peele Sr.
Survivors include three daughters, Doris Randolph of Elizabeth City, N.C., Mary Post of Virginia Beach, Gloria Stone of Norfolk; four sons, Kenny Peele Jr. of Fayetteville, N.C., Jack Peele of Chesapeake, David and Lewis Peele, both of Norfolk; four sisters, Nell Jordan of Norfolk, Evelyn Eure of Chesapeake, Mary G. Colson and Lottie Lamb, both of Hertford, N.C.; four brothers, Raymond Ivey, John and Wilbert Wilson, all of Elizabeth City, Arie Wilson of Hertford; 10 grandchildren and three great-grand-children.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Twiford Colonial Chapel by the Rev. Fred Williams. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. A visitation for family and friends will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the Twiford Funeral Home.
