Mary Bradshaw Brooks, 78, of the 31000 block of Maple Ave., died Oct. 2, 1996, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Brooks was born in Southampton County. She was the daughter of the late Clyde H. and Delzine Raiford Bradshaw. She was a member of Sedley Baptist Church and was a member of Sedley's Womans Club.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Lee Brooks; two daughters, Nelda Page Cabell of Tarboro, N.C., Mary Ann Harrell of Suffolk; a son, Shelton Earl Holt and wife, Sue, of Franklin; two sisters, Kathleen Raiford of Ivor and Inell Midgette of Norfolk; a brother, Lloyd E. Bradshaw of Waverly; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley, by the Rev. David Johnson Sr. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Holland-Rideout Funeral Home, Franklin.
