ETHEL V. EVERTON

Ethel Virginia Everton, 82, of the 100 block of Walton Road, died Wednesday Oct. 2, 1996, at her residence.

Miss Everton was born in Old Norfolk County and was the daughter of the late Howard Herman and Iola Frances Murden Everton. She had retired as a key punch operator with 34 years of service at the Norfolk Naval Base. Miss Everton was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sisters, Viola Mae Cogliandro of Chesapeake, Dorothy Lee Adkisson of Norfolk; an uncle, Archie Murden of Norfolk; four nephews and six nieces, Howard H. Everton of Virginia Beach, Crystal Steer of Virginia Beach, Melody Heath of Virginia Beach, Donnie Everton of Lexington, S.C., Steve West of Virginia Beach, Patricia Lowe of New Jersey, Daphne K. Kianka of Arlington, Va., Robert Adkisson of Norfolk, Lucy Bulloch of Virginia Beach and Mary Phillips of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. W. Roberts McIvor. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
