A GOOD CORPORATE CITIZEN

Many businesses in Chesapeake continually return to the community, not to increase their bottom line but because they are thankful for the support they receive from our citizens. Chesapeake's own Armada/Hoffler has exemplified the good corporate citizen.

As a member of the core committee for the construction of Fun Forest, I know the park would not have been possible without the countless volunteer hours from Armada/Hoffler employees, complimentary use of its facilities and its freely donated management and construction expertise. Armada/Hoffler also volunteered to manage and construct the new Colonial Coast Girl Scout Center located on Cedar Road, bringing the new center in under budget.

Armada/Hoffler's reputation as one of the premier construction companies in the region was highlighted by their early and below-budget completion of the new Oscar Smith High School. I'm sure administrators and students of the new Hickory High School wish Armada/ Hoffler was on their job.

Let us hope as our city continues to expand, it will also attract high-quality corporate citizens like Armada/Hoffler.
