I am writing in response to two recent articles concerning Armada/Hoffler and the city of Chesapeake (Sept. 27). These articles implied that Armada/Hoffler was not acting above board in its dealings with the city of Chesapeake.
I worked for Armada/Hoffler a number of years ago and I have firsthand knowledge of the company and the principals mentioned. I knew them to be honest with all their clients.
Integrity has always been an integral part of Armada/Hoffler's philosophy. Businesses want to work with Armada/Hoffler because they soon realize that what is agreed to, not only in writing but also face to face, can be counted on from the beginning to the end of the partnership.
The articles don't give a fair presentation of the company I knew.
