Elizabeth Michalos Pasquier, 84, died Oct. 3, 1996.
A native of New York, Mrs. Pasquier was raised in Chios, Greece. She was a retired restaurateur with her late husband, Gabriel Pasquier, operating several restaurants, including Gabriel's Restaurant and the Newport News Cafe. She was a member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Newport News. In the peninsula community, Elizabeth Pasquier was highly recognized for her hand-crafted artwork and shared her talent with others.
Survivors include two sons, Harry and daughter-in-law, June Pasquier of Boston and Alexander Pasquier of Newport News; two granddaughters, Alisha Pasquier and Chelsea Pasquier of Newport News.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church by Fr. Steve Dalber. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park. A prayer service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Riverside Funeral Home, after which the family wil receive friends until 4 p.m.
