Fredrick Henry Schriever Sr., 66, of the 4700 block of Overman Ave. died Oct. 3, 1996.
He was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran and was retired from the Oceana Public Works Department. He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Esther M. Schriever; a son, Fredrick H. Schriever Jr., and his wife, Susan, of Chesapeake; a daughter, Margaret Caldwell, and her husband, Gary, of Virginia Beach; four grandsons, Joseph, Daniel and Michael Schriever of Chesapeake and Thomas Caldwell of Virginia Beach; three brothers, William Schriever of Peoria, Ill., and David Schriever and Richard Schriever, both of San Antonio, Texas.
The family will receive friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. A Wake service will be held at 4 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park.
