On Oct. 1, 1996, the death angel came and bore the spirit of Fred Douglas Boone Sr. away to a land that is free from sickness, sorrow, pain and death.
Fred Douglas Boone Sr. was born July 27, 1964, in Portsmouth to Robert Lee and Pecolia M. Boone. He was educated in Portsmouth City Schools and attended Wilson High School. He was employed at B&B Auto.
Fred was a member and attended New First Baptist Church Taylorsville, Portsmouth.
In addition to his parents, who loved him dearly, survivors include his wife, Michelle Boone of New Jersey; a daughter, Nichelle Chamber of Chesapeake; sons, Douglas Terrell and D'Alan Tervell Taylor of Newport News, Fred Douglas Boone Jr. of New Jersey and LaDarrius Keion Brown of Norfolk; three sisters, Sandra Jordan, Elvi T. Boone and Sharron B. Deans, all of Portsmouth; six brothers, Robert Lee Boone Jr. of Jarrett, Va., Herbert Lee Boone of Mecklenburg, Va., Judith Lee Boone of Chesapeake, William A. Boone of Portsmouth and Richard A. Boone of Portsmouth; a half-sister, Venita Boone of Portsmouth; a half-brother, Ronald Boone of Portsmouth; a maternal grandmother, Freddessa Weal of Portsmouth; a devoted friend, Gwen Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in New First Baptist Church Taylorsville by the Rev. T.M. Steele. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
