Robert Leroy Moore, 54, of the 2400 block of Salem Road died Oct. 3, 1996, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
A native of Baltimore, he was the son of Sarah Joe and the late James Moore. He was a retired and disabled U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Jean Moore; daughters, Angela R. Moore, a foster daughter, Roberta L. Moore, and Aphia Spry; his mother, Sarah Riddick Joe; a brother, Clarence Moore of Virginia Beach; sisters, Elizabeth Moore Books of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Brandon L. Moore, Tiffany N. Moore, Domonique J. Moore and Christopher S. Moore; a devoted niece, Wanda Moore; a son-in-law, Solomon Moore Jr.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Rose M. Thomas and Harriet Crump.
A funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Riddick Funeral Service Chapel by Elder William H. Perry. Burial will be in Quantico National Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home. The funeral will assemble at the funeral home at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday.
