Deacon Alonzo Dick Faison Jr. of the 7000 block of Gregory Dr. died Oct. 4, 1996, in a local hospital.
A native of Aurora, N.C., Deacon Faison was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Norfolk. He was also a member of Tidewater Masonic Lodge (NU)106. He had 20 years service with S&N Freight Lines.
Survivors include his wife, Marcella Faison; one grandchild, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at noon Tuesday in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. William Davis. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home is in charge. The family will assemble at the residence on the day of the service. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
