A 20-year-old Wisconsin man was killed early Saturday when the car he was driving slammed into a parked pickup, police said.
Curtis W. Robbins of Beloit was pinned in the wreckage for more than 20 minutes after the accident happened in the 500 block of Woodview Ave. about 3:10 a.m.
Robbins, who was in the Navy and assigned to the oiler Monongahela, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:39 a.m.
Police said speed and alcohol appeared to be factors in the crash. Robbins also was not wearing a seat belt.
